Oh my gosh; yesterday was so friggin hot! Especially since I have no air conditioning in my midget bedroom, only a wicked small fan. Last night I couldn't sleep at all, as usual. At least I got to watch The Hangover at 3 AM though; which reminds me, why do they choose to have the best TV shows and movies on, at only the most inconvenient times? (How do they really expect normal people to be up that late!) On a different subject, the air smelled like watermelons yesterday. (: I know what your probably thinking: What the hell Ashley; The air smelled like watermelons? Well yes, the air can smell like watermelons! Like, when it's the Summer, or close to it, and the air smells so fresh, sweat, pure, and juicy, like when you cut open a watermelon. I love that smell! I know I keep mentioning the fact that Summer is wicked soon in my posts, but I just can't believe that the year went by that fast. And plus, I just can't wait until Summer period; because I love the ten weeks of freedom, as well as the vacation away from teachers, grades, homework, and a lot of the responsibilities that I have during the year. Well, anyways, I watched this episode of South Park that actually reminded me of a-lot of my friends; it was about being addicted to Facebook. (Which, if you knew any of my friends, there are a lot of them who are!) And it was really funny, because Stan actually got sucked into Facebook. xD I think I'm going to end this post now; and get ready for my doctors appointment. (Yes, I am still sick.) - xoxo Ashley
Crime Of Passion
By: Ashley P.
The cool metal,
pressed against her temple,
she is trembling,
there is no escape.
She is crying,
in hysterics,
melancholy tears.
Wrists bound,
bleeding badly,
she is sniffling, bruised.
Begging you for sympathy,
asking you to stop,
pleading with you.
But still the chaos continues.
You look into her eyes,
the innocence they show,
and for just a brief moment,
you feel a pang of regret,
a small shot of sympathy ringing in your heart.
But you know you cannot falter;
this task must be completed.
Shakily, you point the gun,
and again, you look into her eyes,
you can see the silent pleads they hold,
damn her angel's eyes.
You know she feels no love for you;
That was long before,
before you decided to start this.
Slowly, you pull the trigger,
she screams in terror, in fright,
an abrupt crashing is heard,
as a body hits the floor.
Blood is almost everywhere,
a blood-chilling scene,
not at all what she expected,
because you are the one laying there.

Idea:
I got the idea for the poem 'Crime Of Passion' from this show on ID about a man who kidnapped his ex girlfriend, and planned to kill her. (Because she broke up with him.) He was mentally unstable, and had a gun, which he threatened her with constantly. In the end, he never did end up killing her, only bruising her up and minor things like that. But, he did end up shooting himself in the head after an almost 6 hour negotiation with the police. Them poem is called 'crime of passion' because a crime of passion is when someone is in a sudden rage, and decides to kill, or harm someone, out of heart break. Now, the idea I got this poem from isn't exactly a crime of passion, because it was partially premeditated, and the man on the show had been terrorizing the woman for months on end with phone calls, stalking, etc. But it is somewhat loosely based on that story. - xoxo Ashley
